meningitis acwy vaccination - all students going to university students going to university or college for the first time are being offered the meningitis acwy vaccination. if you are planning on going to university, please make an appointment as soon as possible to have this done before you leave. you are more at risk of meningitis and septicaemia in the first weeks at university when you mix with lots of new people. however, even if you are not leaving for university you are still eligible for this vaccination so please contact the surgery to make an appointment. june 2016 -
